Diversity And Inclusion Policy

At the Truitt Institute, we believe that mental health is not just an individual issue–it’s a social and cultural one. We know that if we want to create more inclusive and equitable societies, we need to work together. Diversity, equity, and inclusion play a crucial role in how people experience and access support and care.

Our programs are based in the NeuroTriad Model and are designed to support individuals in healing their past, creating their present, and building their future. The Model inherently recognizes the complex interplay of human relationships and aligns with our deep commitment to creating a safe space for collective healing within all communities through inclusion, valuing individual differences, and respect.

In alignment with our Diversity Vision, The Truitt Institute strives to work with clinicians of diverse skill sets and backgrounds in order to sponsor the success of treatment of individuals across all areas of life who have survived traumatic experiences. We recognize that successful mental health training requires a specific focus on inclusion and diversity variables. This focus not only enhances program effectiveness but also creates overarching positive effects on the health and wellness outcomes for the populations served by our Organization.

To reach our vision we are committed to the following:
Creating an environment in which all Trainers, Consultants, and Program Attendees are treated with fairness and respect. The Truitt Institute has, and will continue to develop, design, and implement programs to support and assist with improving diversity at all levels of the training process;

  • Ensuring a supportive, harassment-free and inclusive training and learning space;
  • Developing a corporate culture that embraces diversity, and in which differences are valued, respected and fostered;
  • Ensuring Diversity is embraced at all levels, and the trainers are reflective of the communities The Truitt Institute operates within;
  • Incorporating research across diverse populations into training protocols to assure proper application of information, tools, and techniques into clinical practice.Type your paragraph here.
